Star Wars: The Force Awakens

“There are stories about what happened…” Get ready! It’s almost here. If there was a time when I’d say we’re starting to see too much from Star Wars, this is it. This is the TV spot where it starts to feel like, you know what, better to save the rest of it for the movie theater in just about a month. This fourth TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, includes even more new footage showing another temple and an awesome shot of John Boyega in the Falcon, along with Daisy Ridley piloting it. In addition, a photo was posted via Reddit of a display at Disneyland that describes the details behind the villain Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber. This was a big argument for a while, and this kind of settles it. Have at it.

Here’s the newest TV spot for Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on YouTube via SlashFilm:

Here’s the photo showing a display found at Disneyland confirming how it works and what Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber is. Essentially, it confirms most of the different theories by being a homemade saber that vents out the sides to create the “crossguard blades” look. Still badass. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, continuing the beloved original trilogy about Luke, Leia, Han & Chewie that ended in 1983, is directed by J.J. Abrams, of the films Mission: Impossible 3, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness. The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Return of the Jedi, The Big Chill, The Bodyguard) and J.J. Abrams, with Kathleen Kennedy from Lucasfilm producing. This debut is the beginning of a brand new saga, with another trilogy planned for this storyline, with Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow lined up to direct. Disney, after acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012, will release Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters worldwide on December 18th.
